Tariff Revenue Rebate Program August 2025

Status: Under Congressional Review

This program is currently proposed and has not been approved or funded by Congress.

What Are Tariff Rebate Checks?

Tariff rebate checks are a proposed economic relief program designed to distribute revenues collected from import tariffs back to American households. The program aims to offset increased consumer costs resulting from trade policies and tariffs on imported goods.

Under the proposal, the federal government would collect tariff revenues from imported goods and redistribute a portion of these funds directly to eligible households through rebate checks, similar to previous stimulus payment programs.
